Cal 921 in an alkaline powdered soak type cleaner, designed specifically for the plating
industry. Cal 921 uses a combination of emulsifiers and surfactants to “hold” most types of
common oils. Cal 921 has been designed to handle the heavy sulfur based, and other heavy
machining oils used in metal processing. Cal 921 has no chealants to play havoc with waste
treatment streams.
Cal 921 is recommended to be used at concentrations of 8 to 12 ounces per gallon. Cal Pac
recommends that Cal 921 be used at temperatures ranging from 140˚ to 210˚f. The user however,
will find the correct temperature, based on available equipment and necessity. Cal 921 is a
powdered material which dissolves easily in ambient water.
